faceLITE LED devices are flexible, portable, home use masks made with medical grade silicone and light emitting diodes (LED) to bathe the skin in light.

The devices are faceLITE PRO, faceLITE, decoLITE and handLITE.

DO NOT use faceLITE LED devices if you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity, have a photosensitive disorder or are pregnant or breast feeding. Photosensitivity (sensitization to light) is a common side effect of various medications and some herbal remedies. A List of medication can be found HERE.

Since faceLITE devices generate no heat, most people are suitable but there is a list of contraindications that should be referred to by anyone who is thinking of having a treatment. View list of contraindications.

Before your first treatment, you must carry out a sensitization test. Please refer to the User Guide in your box for instructions.

If no sensitivity, carry out your face treatment as follows:

1. Cleanse – you may also exfoliate your skin - to remove any traces of your routine skincare.
2. Insert the eyewear - if desired, not essential.
3. Place the Mask on your face and secure at the back of your head with the Velcro straps.
4. Adjust the chin and forehead sections of the mask for a close fit with the customized Velcro areas on the temples and chin.
5. Connect the Mask to the controller and switch on the controller. The device switches off after a ten-minute treatment time. You may also stop the treatment at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button on the controller.
6. Remove the Mask and apply your normal skincare.
7. Clean the mask using the instructions in the User Guide. Ensure that the device is NOT being charged when cleaning.
8. Repeat 3-5 times a week for a minimum of 6 weeks.

For best results we recommend that you treat 3-5 days a week for 6 weeks.

After 6 weeks, we recommend regular use as needed to suit your skin’s needs to maintain a healthy, glowing complexion, or skin improvements on the hands. If you wish to use daily, it is safe to do so.

Before using the Mask, you should remove makeup, creams, lotions, and other skincare products.

faceLITE products have been proven in trials to greatly improve skin parameters such as hydration, texture, and pigmentation. It improves tissue oxygenation and blood flow and therefore absorption of skin care will be greatly improved.

faceLITE LED masks are compatible with most normal skin care routines, we do highly recommend using them also in conjunction with the specialized Hydrogel Mask.

No. The studies show it works without the hydrogel to stimulate collagen, and the clinical studies show wrinkle improvement. The hydrogel does not improve the collagen production it is merely a boost for the hydration levels. The clinical results are achieved without.

No, we don’t recommend it. Certain serums, oils and creams may block light from passing through. We recommend a cleansed face free from makeup and skincare, or our specialized Hydrogel Mask.

Yes, they can be combined with more invasive treatments such as Botox, peels, injectables, and laser resurfacing. The anti-inflammatory properties of faceLITE LED products can help in the healing process and help to reduce bruising and swelling.

Yes, they can help reduce inflammation and calm skin redness.

Blue light is typically used in the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Our focus with the faceLITE masks is for skin rejuvenation and the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, under-eye dark circles and improving the appearance of pigmentation.

Yes. Although the FaceLITE LED masks do not use blue light usually associated with treating acne, people who use faceLITE masks for hormonal breakouts, spots, and blemishes have still seen improvements. Red and infrared light have an anti-inflammatory response in the skin which can help to calm redness and swelling around the spots. It may also help with skin scarring when used over a long period of time.

Yes, there have been no reported incidents of light therapy affecting the thyroid gland. Recently a clinical study demonstrated that after a 16-week course of light therapy treatments of the neck, there were no changes to the morphology of the thyroid and parathyroid glands and no effect on Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) up to 6 months later.

The faceLITE LED Family of products have been safety-tested, and they comply with international safety standards. Since the masks do not cover the eyes, or use blue light, eye protection is not necessary. Eyewear is provided for comfort only. The use of eyewear is optional as the faceLITE and faceLITE PRO comply with all relevant eye safety standards (IEC 62471:2006)

You should not feel any pain while using the LED devices. The light penetrates the skin and stimulates the cells to work in a natural way. The treatments are non-invasive and there is no perceivable heat generated from them; therefore, the treatment is completely pain free.

faceLITE LED products cannot be used while they are charging (plugged in). After device is fully charged, unplug it from the mains and press the on button on the controller. If it still does not work, then you may have an issue with either mask or controller and will need to contact your place of purchase.

faceLITE LED devices use a lithium-ion battery.

If you are travelling by air, the battery should be carried in carry-on baggage and not checked-in. The device must be completely switched off.

None of our clinical trials are done on pregnant women, so we have not studied any effects LED treatment may have on the baby. While we have never heard of any adverse effects of LED on pregnancy, we cannot be sure and advise caution.

Facial Wrinkles: Mean wrinkle grade improved by 0.7 of a grade from baseline. 79% of subjects saw at least a 1 grade improvement.

Study-end photographs were collated, masked, and randomized, then assessed by an independently blinded physician. Additional physician review was also performed.

Participants used the device at home five times per week for 12 weeks, with each session lasting 10 minutes.
