LED skincare is often discussed as if all red light therapy is the same. It is not. Wavelength, intensity and treatment time all matter, and different wavelengths interact with the skin in different ways.
faceLITE PRO was developed around that principle. Instead of relying on one or two wavelengths, the mask combines five targeted red and near-infrared wavelengths into a single 10-minute treatment.
More than 25 years of LED light therapy experience
faceLITE is powered by iSMART Developments, founded in 2018 by research scientist Sue D'Arcy. The team behind the brand brings more than 25 years of experience across medical, professional and consumer light therapy, including extensive clinical and regulatory work in LED-based technologies.
That background shapes the way faceLITE approaches at-home skincare: start with the science of light, then engineer the device around an effective and practical treatment routine.
What are the five faceLITE PRO wavelengths?
faceLITE PRO uses three red-light wavelengths and two near-infrared wavelengths:
- 610 nm red light
- 630 nm red light
- 660 nm red light
- 850 nm near-infrared light
- 1070 nm near-infrared light
Why combine red and near-infrared light?
Red and near-infrared light are used in photobiomodulation because they interact with tissue differently. The clinical evidence supplied for faceLITE PRO describes the three red wavelengths as supporting processes associated with collagen production, circulation and visible fine-line reduction, while the near-infrared wavelengths penetrate more deeply and are associated with tissue repair, circulation and inflammation response.
Bringing these wavelengths together is intended to support a multi-layer approach to skin rejuvenation, rather than asking a single wavelength to address every visible concern.
One programme, at the press of one button
More wavelengths do not have to mean more complexity. faceLITE PRO combines all five wavelengths in a single 10-minute programme, so there is no need to choose among a long list of modes or treatment settings as seen in other masks.
Press one button, complete the treatment, and the device switches off automatically.
That simplicity is deliberate: advanced technology should make a skincare routine easier to follow, not harder.
What did the 12-week clinical study find?
The five-wavelength system was evaluated in a 12-week US clinical study in which participants used faceLITE PRO for 10 minutes, five times per week. By the end of the study:
- 79% showed at least a one-grade improvement in facial wrinkles.
- 100% showed visible improvement in under-eye dark circles.
- 87.5% showed at least a one-grade improvement in pigmentation.
- 66.7% showed at least a one-grade improvement in erythema.
No adverse events were reported during treatment, and an eight-week follow-up identified no treatment-related incidents.
Why five wavelengths - and why now?
Because at-home LED skincare has evolved. Consumers increasingly expect devices to combine credible evidence, sophisticated technology and a routine that is realistic to maintain.
faceLITE PRO brings together five wavelengths, a 10-minute one-button programme, 12-week clinical evidence, Attracta Beauty Award recognition and FDA clearance for the treatment of full-face wrinkles.
It is a multi-layer approach built on more than 25 years of LED experience - designed to take advanced light therapy from the clinic into an everyday at-home skincare routine.
